How BLACK are you?
You have heard the phrases “red is the new black” or “purple is the new black” or even the popular “green is the new black”. These are just phrases used to express a new trend that is taking popular culture by storm. Well now I am glad to announce that BLACK is now the new black! No, this is not an article to praise Black (African American) people and their advancement and it definitely does not have anything to do with Barack Obama and the upcoming presidential election (which everyone should do their part to do extensive research on both candidates to learn more about their policies and how they plan to execute them rather than just following a trend or voting based on political preference). I digress to say that this is simply just an article to praise one of the biggest aspects of our world and life – FASHION!
They say “don’t judge a book by its cover” but let’s be real, why would you apply this saying to humans? Honestly, the first thing we all see when we encounter a person is not their inner beauty, intelligence, or special talent. What we first see is the physical aspect of a person that goes skin deep. Therefore, in the beginning when we encounter an individual, we can only judge that person by how they look and what they have on. Some people have been blessed with an innate sense of fashion while, sadly, a large percent of people seem to lack this characteristic.
Regardless of what category you fall in, this Fall Season you will never go wrong with Black.
The color black can be dull, plain, and simple but with the right combination of accessories and “swag” anyone can rock this color. Here are ten essential items for this fall season:
1) Black Leather/Suede boots ( ankle and/or knee-high)
It is a uniformed piece that goes with any color tone and practically anything
